This week we have been learning about the -AT word family. Srta. Sandra showed us how to join letter sounds using our fingers to read Consonant-Vowel-Consonant words like: rat, mat, sat, cat, vat, hat, and fat.
Srta. Sandra told us something funny! Some letters are married to each other! It means when they're together they make one sound like: Th in the word That and Qu in the word Queen. We also learned how to stretch out our letter sounds using tools like: an elastic, a string and own hands so we can write down letter sounds we hear when we do "Kid spelling" in our journals.
