Please return library books tomorrow for exchange.
We are still accepting book donations for World Book Day. Pick-up/ Drop- off Safety: The safety of our children getting to and from school continues to be a concern for all. We know that schedules are tight when getting our kids off to school, getting to work and then trying to get to after school activities. We want to stress that it only takes a second, one poor decision to change the course of a life or sadly as we have recently seen in the news, to even end one. We have witnessed several extremely unsafe events at the school, including a vehicle not yet stopped when a child exited, parents parking in a cross-walk creating an unsafe event for pedestrians as they weren't seen by a vehicle when try to cross, vehicles not yielding to pedestrians and parents double parking to let their children out and the children running between parked vehicles. These are only a few examples. Please continue to model safe behaviour for our children. This includes always using a cross-walk, not walking between vehicles, not dropping your children off prior to 8:10am or even parking a bit further from the school than you would like to ensure your child can exit the vehicle in a safe manner and not disrupt the flow of traffic. Thank you for all your continued support. Mrs. Fraser Today's Learning: Math: We showed our thinking to solve the following question: How many equations can you make with these numbers? 13, 5, 8 Some students did not finish and took home their work to complete. Please return tomorrow. Social Studies: Please continue to work on the Cultural Pizza project. It is due April 23. Today we continue to work on our Posters comparing communities in Honduras, Canada and Tanzania. Please take some time this week to ask your child about their work on the poster and what they find similar and different about each.
