Dear Parents and Guardians, We are getting closer to our second annual Cultural Night! If you are interested in participating but misplaced the pink form with the information you can still participate. We are looking for parents who would like to show their wonderful heritage and culture by sharing samples of food, toys, artifacts or pictures with the rest of our students, parents and teachers. The event will be held on February 22 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. School will provide tables, cutlery and stationary items to help to set up the presentations. Please let Mrs. Fraser ([email protected]) know if you would like to participate as well as with the country you will represent. We will be sending out more information with details to the parents who would like to participate. Thank you to the parents who already responded. Greetings, The Cultural Committee Today's Learning: In Math, we continued to learn about 2-d shapes by identifying how many sides, faces and corners. We built the shapes using different materials. We learned some materials were easier to connect some shapes together while others were not. We compared our designs to the chart we created to know if we used the same number of sides. Here are a few pictures of our buildings. Homework: Review how many sides, corners, and faces the following shapes have: square, circle, rectangle, pentagon, octagon, oval, heart, star, diamond. Please remember to bring swimming suits tomorrow. Here are a few more pictures of our swim lessons.
